When the Hawks won the 2008 Premiership the team quickly headed down to Tasmania to share the Cup with Hawks supporters. The Tasmanian Government gave each player a TAZ DEVIL plush toy as a congratulatory gift.

The world famous Warner Bros. Looney Tunes character TAZ has joined forces with the Tasmanian Government to help raise awareness of the Tasmanian devil and the facial tumour disease threatening its existence. Scientists estimate the disease has already wiped out more than half the population of wild devils across 60% of the Tasmanian mainland. In May 2008 the Tasmanian devil was declared an endangered species.
 
For just $49.99 (plus $12.40 postage and handling) you can purchase a TAZ DEVIL toy and join the Hawks in helping to save the iconic Tasmanian devil.  All proceeds from the sale of TAZ DEVIL toys are donated to the Save Tasmanian Devil Appeal, run by the University of Tasmania.
