The Crows Beach House, which was a new fundraising initiative of the Club this year, was a joint partnership between the Adelaide Football Club, Burke Urban and Rivergum Homes with all proceeds supporting the Crows junior development and community programs.
The two storey, four bedroom generous beach home was ready for inspection last Sunday although the Club has accepted a strong bid well prior to the expected auction date of October 9.
Adelaide Crows CEO Steven Trigg said the result was very pleasing for the Club.
"Not only from a financial point of view, as a new income stream for us this year, but also from a partnership point of view," Trigg said.
"Working with Burke Urban and Rivergum has enabled us to offer our supporters a unique opportunity to purchase a family beach house knowing their money is going to be re-invested at their football club."
Crows Beach House ambassador Bernie Vince, who is currently holidaying overseas, was personally disappointed he had missed the opportunity to bid on the house on his actual birthday.
When told he said he had thought about putting an offer in on the day.
"It had crossed my mind to make a bid - especially as the auction date was my birthday," Vince said.
"It would have been an expensive birthday present for myself but I am really pleased for the club that the project has been such a fabulous success."
Adelaide Crows players James Sellar and Jack Gunston, as well as the recently retired Brett Burton and Trent Hentschel, visited the Crows Beach House last week to put the finishing touches to the landscaping around the property and have a hit of cricket on the newly laid pitch in the backyard.
The Crows Beach House will still be open for the next two Sundays (Sept 26th and October 3rd) so people can have a look at the Rivergum Sorrento design and experience beautiful Black Point Beachcomber on Yorke Peninsula which is South Australia’s premier coastal location.
Olivia Burke of Burke Urban said they were thrilled that the Crows Beach House project was such a success and sold before auction.
"We are so pumped by the response to the campaign that we have launched in to architecturally designing a range of homes exclusive to Black Point and hope that anyone who had their heart set on buying the Crows Beach House will contact us directly to discuss this new opportunity," Burke said.
The Adelaide Football Club would like to thank Burke Urban, Rivergum and Masterplan, Town + Country Planners as well as the District Council of Yorke Peninsula for their support with the project.
