Speedster delists himself with Blues set to swoop in pre-season draft
THE PATH has been cleared for Carlton to recruit Jason Tutt after he delisted himself from the Western Bulldogs.
The out-of-contract speedster has told the Dogs he intends to nominate for the NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft on December 3.
Tutt is set to follow former Dogs teammate Liam Jones to Visy Park, with the Blues reportedly offering him a two-year deal.
The 23-year-old's desired move to Carlton fell through during the recent trade period and the Blues cannot recruit Tutt as a delisted free agent because he removed himself from the Bulldogs' list.
Tutt played 26 games and booted 22 goals for the Dogs after he was taken with pick No.31 in the 2009 draft.
His departure from the Whitten Oval means the Bulldogs will have another live pick at their disposal in the upcoming national draft on November 27.
The Dogs, who have already committed the 64th selection for father-son selection Zaine Cordy, will wield picks 26, 27, 39, 45, 46 and 82 on draft night.
Tutt is set to become the fifth player Carlton has recruited from rival clubs this off-season, following the acquisitions of Kristian Jaksch (GWS), Mark Whiley (GWS), Matthew Dick (Sydney Swans) and Jones.
