THIS week Darren Jolly is in the running for the AFL Goal of the Year Award for his spectacular grab against Port Adelaide late in the fourth quarter. In a tight match, Jolly came across the pack to mark before landing hard on the ground.

Swans fans can view and vote for Jolly’s goal at www.afl.com.au/markgoal.  Voting is open from the Monday after each round through to the following Sunday night.

In 2008, the winners of the AFL Mark and Goal of the Year awards will each receive:

- 5,000 for their grassroots club
- A crystal replica of the official perpetual AFL Mark & Goal of the Year trophies
- The Alex Jesaulenko Medal (mark) and Phil Manassa Medal (goal)

At the end of the home and away season, the AFL All-Australian Selection Committee will decide the overall winner from the 22 weekly winners.

The awards will be the presented during 2008 AFL Grand Final week.
