ANOTHER great weekend of footy has come and Gawn, highlighted by an epic ruck battle where the big boys silenced the doubters on whether rucks still have the ability to score well given we have witnessed fewer stoppages per game over the first two rounds. Todd Goldstein and Max Gawn certainly put on a show with 149 and 116 respectively, including seven goals and 101 hit-outs.

Fantasy Pig

Aaron Hall (FWD/MID, $525,000) is in beast mode and doesn,t look like slowing down anytime soon. He had another massive game on the weekend with 40 possessions (including 27 kicks) and a goal for 151. He is now averaging 134 over the first three weeks and is still a bargain which is reflected by his low break even of 25. He is still owned by less than 40 per cent of the competition, but that should change before he takes on the Lions this week in what should be another 120-plus performance.

Fantasy Prestigiacomo

I feel harsh picking on a youngster, but after George Hewett (MID, $218,000) dominated the opening round with a score of 95, confidence levels of his coaches were high enough to give him the responsibility of playing on the ground. That backfired in a big way this week as he almost spent more time on the pine than the ground, recording just 51 per cent game time, collecting three possessions and scoring 23. They might as well have thrown a vest on him for old-time sake.

Fantasy Piglet

Tom Ruggles (DEF, $148,000) was outstanding on debut and is definitely a viable downgrade target in the back line. The Cat certainly appeared to like the ball in his hands, which is a great sign for a cash cow, as he went on to collect 17 possessions and an impressive nine marks for a score of 76. He has a break even of -11 and is ripe for the picking.

Hewett certainly has more growth, but with two trades per week and the fact his job security is in question he is certainly on the block.

I think Martin will be back to triple figures this week, so I would hold. Having said that, Goldy should pump out another massive score.

Hall, Merrett and Zaharakis are all under-priced and will be in the mix for top 10 or so.

Without a doubt. There was an unusually high amount of stoppages compared to games at other grounds this year and whoever was timing kept forgetting to blow the siren.

Although his scoring has been frustrating, I think we should try to keep him. He is best 22 and will likely gain defender status in round six.

Although we should traditionally be patient with the 'fattening' of our cash cows, there are circumstances where this is appropriate with two trades per week - e.g. if you have missed a piglet.
