Tadhg Kennelly’s 20 centimetre pass to himself was one of the more obscure highlights from the Swans eight point victory over the Bulldogs on Saturday.

SwansTV couldn’t resist the opportunity to highlight the Irishman’s Gaelic football inspired manoeuvre in the tense final quarter of the match.

“I was trying to switch the play but as I went to kick, I saw a couple of Bulldogs players closing in on Ted Richards, so I had to turn and go back up the line,” Kennelly told sydneyswans.com.au.

“Because I was already in the motion of kicking, I just kicked to myself and then turned.

“It’s actually something I’ve done before in a game. I’ve also done a header when my arms have been pinned in a tackle,” Kennelly said.
