Shaun Hampson and Aaron Joseph will be given every opportunity to prove their fitness in the countdown to the penultimate home and away match of the season - Friday night’s match with reigning premier Geelong at Etihad Stadium.

Hampson and Joseph both suffered ankle injuries in last Saturday’s 89-point rout of Richmond at the MCG. Both face fitness tests tomorrow.

Accordingly, the Carlton team remains unchanged, with Marc Murphy on the cusp of his 100th senior appearance. In doing so he creates League history, as his father John and grandfather Leo Murphy were also 100-game players - a feat never before achieved by three consecutive generations of any other footballing family in 114 seasons years of the VFL/AFL.

Marc becomes the third youngest Carlton player to achieve the 100-game milestone at 23 years and 32 days old, behind Lance Whitnall (21 years 275 days) and Robert Walls (21 years 338 days). He replaces  Ryan Houlihan, who was 23 years 78 days old when he turned out for his 100th senior match, in round 3, 2005 against Collingwood at the MCG.
