If there's a bit of rain around - and wasn't there plenty in 2011? - or it's tough in the clinches, Jude Bolton is a man you want on your side.

In 2011, the veteran Swan threw his body in to contests with scant regard for his own safety and set the tone for the Swans attack on the ball. In round 3 he also set a new record for the number of tackles in a game with 19.

But to focus just on Jude's hardness around the contest undersells his contribution to the team in 2011. He also chimed in with some key goals in pivotal moments of matches and led by example to many of the Swans young brigade.
