PORT Adelaide star Travis Boak has missed the club's Wednesday training session and is in doubt for the Power's clash with St Kilda on Saturday.

Speedster Matt White also missed the session while forward Angus Monfries appeared to be heavily favouring his rolled ankle while jogging.

The trio are all battling ankle injuries, but in better news for the club, brilliant forward Chad Wingard (who was concussed on the weekend after being crunched in a marking contest), veteran Dom Cassisi and Tom Jonas all appeared to train without issue.

The club's sudden influx of injuries got worse on Tuesday when midfielder Andrew Moore underwent surgery on his collarbone.

Moore hurt the collarbone in the club's pre-season practice match against the Saints in March, but re-injured it against Melbourne last Saturday in his first game for the year. He'll miss 4-6 weeks.

Port's high performance manager Darren Burgess said Moore initially injured his collarbone in a pre-season game against St Kilda at Alberton Oval.

“He was able to keep playing after that initial injury, but he copped another hit on the weekend against Melbourne,” Burgess said.

“Surgery was the best option to get Moorey back playing at full capacity this year.”

Although the injuries are concern, they have not prevented Port racing to its best start to a season.

The Power are aiming for their eighth consecutive win on Saturday, yet defender Jackson Trengove says they are still miles off where they want to be.

The Power have upped the ante in 2014 after an incredible ride last year saw them turn a 14th-placed finish in 2012 into a semi-final berth against Geelong.

Having lost just one game this season, Port sits two wins clear of Hawthorn on top of the ladder.

Trengove said his side's form had shown signs of inconsistency; indeed Port's two most recent wins over the Hawks and Melbourne have been grinding affairs.

If the Power were to reach their full potential, Trengove said the club needed to eradicate any inconsistency from its game.

"We're no where near where we want to be at the moment. We've got a long way to go and we'll continue to build," he said.

"I don’t think we're at the peak of any of our areas yet. We're really improving and we've probably still been a bit up and down this season.

"We've had some games where we've probably wanted to have played better.

"Even though we're winning, the honest feedback from Ken (Hinkley) and the coaching staff to tell us how we've actually really played, it's going to go a long way for us to keep improving."

The Power face St Kilda on Saturday with Trengove warning his teammates not to focus too narrowly on superstar forward Nick Riewoldt.

Riewoldt has fired in each of his side's three victories this year, managing 23 disposals and three goals in round one, 24 and five in round two and 17 and five in round five.

But with players such as Leigh Montagna, Jack Steven and newcomers Luke Dunstan and Jack Billings running around, Trengove said there was more to the Saints than the skipper.

"We know that we've got to stop him because it does go a long way to trying to get on top of St Kilda," he said.

"But they've got some really good players who can bob up in that forward line. Their midfield's really strong as well and 'Richo' (Alan Richardson) knows our game plan down pat."
