GARY ALLEN (March AFL Member of the Month)
The March AFL Member of the Month has been awarded to third generation Tigers supporter Gary Allen, who has been nominated by fellow AFL Richmond Club Support Member, Linda Evans. Gary was born in Sheedy Street, Richmond and his children and grandchildren have been transfused with yellow and black blood.

Taking his three month old granddaughter to the MCG for her first match and getting a photograph with the club mascot as well as watching his other granddaughter run out onto the MCG at half time to play Auskick are his proudest moments.

Before the change rooms were relocated Gary would arrive at the MCG two hours before every match to ensure he could take a seat by the race to watch the boys come on and off the field.

Gary's favourite past player was Billy Barrott.

LUKE EDDY (April AFL Member of the Month)
The April AFL Member of the Month has been awarded to Luke Eddy. Luke has been living in China for the past four years however still watches four to five matches per week on TV.

Luke's most memorable experience was watching the Western Bulldogs win the 2010 NAB Cup and even though he wasn't in Melbourne to attend the match, they had a big party in China and watched the match over there.

Luke is actively promoting the game over in China and now has many friends whom he has converted to Western Bulldogs supporters.

Luke's favourite player of all time is Doug Hawkins however he does admit to going to matches just to watch Gary Ablett Snr, even if the Western Bulldogs weren't playing.

JOHN IACONO (May AFL Member of the Month)
The May AFL Member of the Month has been awarded to 75 year old John Iacono, who states he has become a football tragic in his old age.

John's most memorable experience was this year's NAB Cup Grand Final. As a Western Bulldogs supporter he decided to attend the Grand Final because he thought he may not live long enough to see the Western Bulldogs in a Grand Final again.

John is an avid supporter of all teams, attending 23 matches already this season, including two interstate visits to Brisbane and Canberra. John finds attending matches much more enjoyable than watching them on TV at home, as you get to "see the total picture and capture the atmosphere of the game". Plus John adds that it gives his lovely wife some personal space.

John believes Ted Whitten was the greatest and most complete footballer he has ever seen.

WAYNE NASRAWI (June AFL Member of the Month)
Wayne believes all Richmond Members are the most passionate in the AFL, with only two finals appearances in 28 years, they still stick with the team and purchase yearly memberships.

Wayne's most memorable experience as an AFL Member was the 1980 Grand Final with Kevin Bartlett running riot in the forward line and kicking 7 goals.

SEAN WIGGINS (July AFL Member of the Month)
Sean's most memorable experience as an AFL Member was during the Semi Final match between Collingwood and the Adelaide Crows in 2009.

Sean tells us that one year he had to miss the ANZAC Day match because his son was being born however he was lucky that there was a TV in the delivery room!

These days AFL means that Sean's is able to take his young sons to the footy and watch them cheer as loud as they can for their team.

LASALLE GEBBIE (August AFL Member of the Month)
Lasalle's most memorable experiences as an AFL Member are being able to take overseas guests to the footy and introduce them to Australia's passion.

Lasalle helps to make the Collingwood banner and volunteers as a scoreboard attendant at Victoria Park for VFL matches.

To Lasalle, AFL means a sense of belonging to a culture and a tribe.

Lasalle rates Gary Ablett Snr as the best player of all time for his great poise, strength and ability to score goals.
