On Monday, the fans had the opportunity to post a question to Jude Bolton via sydneyswans.com.au, with his answers to be posted online later in the week.

Here's some of the questions that were asked...

Callum Chapman - 4:54 PM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hey Jude, because you and Kirky have been our main midfielders for so long, who do you think will step up and take his spot when he leaves? I'm thinking Kieren Jack is the best replacement but then again McVeigh would team up well with you.
Also how many years do you think you have left in the tank?

Conor Apcar - 4:22 PM Monday, August 16, 2010
Who do you think will be a key player in the game against the Bulldogs this week?

Chester Travers - 4:08 PM Monday, August 16, 2010
If you could pick one player from any team to play for Sydney, who would it be?

Ina - 3:54 PM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hey Jude, do you remember working with a girl dressed up as a clown for McHappy Day in Kingsford McDonalds about 7years ago? :) I knew nothing about AFL, let alone Swans...you patiently explained all, got a team poster signed for me by the guys and encouraged me to watch my first game of you guys the next day. Been a big fan of my Swannies ever since! Thank you....

Jordan Stretton - 3:33 PM Monday, August 16, 2010
Who’s your favourite mid-fielder that doesn’t play for Sydney?

Chuck Kavalec - 3:27 PM Monday, August 16, 2010
I was curious - who do you think is (was) the best skilled player you ever played with? Or against?
Good luck in the finals!
Go the Swannies!!

Shane Kiddie - 3:16 PM Monday, August 16, 2010
Jude,
Fantastic win by the boys against Fremantle, and what a game to be at!
It's always been a pleasure to watch you play, I've followed your career from day 1 & have always likened you to the great Paul Kelly! I'd like to know which players have had the biggest influence in your on-field/off-field life, & who you regard as the best man to have in the trenches over your outstanding career...
Also, I see Kieren Jack being a great leader for the club, what are your thoughts?
It's In The Blood Forever!!!
GO SWANNIES!
Shane Kiddie, Kalgoorlie WA

Drew Little - 2:14 PM Monday, August 16, 2010
HI Jude! Great win against Freo, we haven't won a game like that for a while, brings back 05/06 memories!!! How will you guys be without Captain Kirk? At the moment I feel like it just won't be the same without him? Will he coach with Longmire next year? Hope he stays at the club somehow!!!

Lena - 12:42 PM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hi Jude, am a fan of yours and that's not because of your good looks - love the gutsy, hardworking way you play the game - always in there and not worried about messing up the good looks - reminds me a lot of Paul Kelly! Question: How do you seriously think the Swans will go leading up to the finals? Has something new happened to bring on the latest wins (Hawks and Freo) or has it just been pot-luck?

Hank Biesterbos - 12:38 PM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hi Jude, been following the Swans since 1956: wore Fred Golsmith's #2 on a guernsey knitted by Ron Joseph's mother. I like Gary Rohan. What do you think he needs to do to earn a regular spot?

Mark Busuttil - 12:36 PM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hi Jude,
The courage you show to get to the bottom of the packs is amazing. Just interested on your thoughts about our game style (some of the Freo game looked like rugby). Is our game style holding up & is our issue "talent" or is the club in the process of tweaking the gameplan from one-on-one to a faster, more free-flowing style similar to Geelong, etc?

Kylie - 12:27 PM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hi Jude, What a terrific team effort against Freo on Saturday. With Benny injured and Bradshaw and LRT indefinite, do we have a chance against the Dogs? With Barry Hall playing well in their forward line we need LRT’s strength against him and Bradshaw’s accuracy in the goals.
My daughter Kirilee says thank you for the mini Sherrin at the last home game. :)
Regards
Kylie

Hi Jude, as a senior member of the playing group you've overseen the development of our youngsters and new recruits. Who impresses you the most and who do you think has the potential to be a future leader?
All the best, and I hope you savour every one of the remaining games with your brother in arms, Brett Kirk.

Ingrid Berg - 11:59 AM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hey Jude,
What will you and the rest of the guys do without the "one and only" Kirky? He is going to leave an enormous void. Both on and off the field!

Alan Stephens - 11:58 AM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hello Jude. You seem to have added to your game this season by improving your run and carry. It's been a terrific achievement. Did you do specific personal training in the pre-season to achieve this?

Andrew of Melbourne - 11:57 AM Monday, August 16, 2010
Great win on the weekend Jude, It was like the '05/'06 years of playing the Eagles it was so close. Great hand ball by Jarrad to give White his 1st goal and us Swans the lead. Do you think the dogs will come out fighting this week, after such a poor showing against the Cats? Do you think we will be able to shut their run down? Good luck for the rest of the season and hope we have a win for Brett Kirk and Paul Roos. Ben McGlynn knew we would lose the ball if he didn't attack it the way he did, that's the stuff we need of players to win close games. Hope Ben has a quick recovery and wish him all the best.

Aidan P - 11:28 AM Monday, August 16, 2010

Hey Jude. Massive fan of the Swans and extremely proud after the weekend’s game. I love how you put your head over the ball time after time. Who is the player in your team that you admire the most for what he does, week in week out?

Christian - 11:25 AM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hey Jude,
The Swans are looking very likely to have a finals birth this year, and it’s gutsy efforts like the one against Fremantle which show just why you belong there. Do you think the determination the boys are playing with at the moment is enough to challenge teams such as Collingwood and Geelong when it comes to September?

Gordon Roy - 11:16 AM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hello Jude,
I've followed the Swans for 52 years. I simply idolised Bobby Skilton and loved the work of Paul Kelly. You've been fortunate to have played alongside Paul Kelly and Brett Kirk. How will it feel not having Brett with you in 2011?

Pykeisachamp90 - 11:14 AM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hey Bolts, congrats on the season so far, been dominating and has been a joy to watch. How good do you think Mike Pyke will be? I have been impressed with his development so far this year especially with the loss of Seaby so early this season.. been bobbing up for goals much like the great man Darren Jolly did. Do you think that he will have a place up forward when Seebs gets back?

Annie - 11:05 AM Monday, August 16, 2010

Hi Jude,
How long have you been playing and what and who inspired you to play AFL with the Sydney Swans?

Taryn Boyd - 10:58 AM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hey Jude :)
You've had an amazing season and I think you'll win the Best and Fairest, you deserve it.
With Kirky retiring at the end of the year, do you think you will take his spot in the rotation for captain? Would you take the opportunity if it came your way?

Julie - 10:39 AM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hi Jude. Congrats on the brilliant win on Saturday, it's been a long time since we saw the "Bloods" spirit come to the fore like that, it's good to know that the baton is being passed on successfully.
What do you think the main changes will be when Longmire takes the reins next year?

Mark Rafidi - 10:27 AM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hi Jude,
Great game - credit to the boys in that last quarter. You played in the 2005 premiership team. If we get Bradshaw and Bolts back, can we go all the way?

Eugene - 10:23 AM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hi Jude,
Ben McGlynn's attack on the ball this season has been phenomenal. I haven't seen a Swans player be so hard at it since Paul Kelly. Having played with both players, would you say that's a fair comparison?

Cameron - 9:56 AM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hey Jude,
Congratulations on a super win, fantastic to see the bloods spirit come through in the last 1/4,
What are your thoughts on the talk of capping the interchange rotations? Would this benefit the swans contested style?

Glenn Tooth - 9:53 AM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hey Jude! With Kirky retiring at the end of the year, is it time for someone to step up into his gutsy on field role and who could that person be? Would it be you, as we saw brilliantly against Essendon, someone like Kieren Jack, or one of the younger players we're yet to see (like Dylan McNeil)?

Jess - 9:45 AM Monday, August 16, 2010
Hey Jude!
You have had an amazing season this year. I hope you never retire!!
But when you do (in at least a few more years), what do you think you will do? Will you stick around and pursue some coaching or admin roles, or come back to Melbourne? I'm sure St Bernards would love to have you...
