TRAVIS Boak wants to end his career at Port Adelaide, and a new one-year contract extension – until 2019 when he'll turn 31 – all but ensures he will.

The Power's skipper finished fourth at the club's best and fairest earlier this month and took out a third-straight best team man award.

Having toyed with the idea of relocating to Geelong for family reasons at the end of the 2012 season, Boak said his love for the Power had only grown stronger in recent years.

"I don't expect to go anywhere … I absolutely love this place and would do anything for this club, and that's certainly what I'm trying to do now," Boak said.

"It'll take me until I'm 31, so I'm getting over the hill then and it's tough to play footy after 30.

"We were extremely disappointed with the results this year and we've got so much more to prove.

"We want to make amends for that."

Power coach Ken Hinkley said the club was privileged to have a captain of Boak's quality.

"We are very fortunate to have a captain of Travis' character at our club," Hinkley said. 

"He sets the standard for the boys and they follow and we look forward to him continuing to lead this terrific group of young men.”

Boak's contract extension is the first of four announcements the club intends to make this week.

The captain said he hoped the re-signing of Chad Wingard and Ollie Wines would also be revealed.

The superstar pair fall out of contract next year and remain integral to the future success of Port.

Wingard won his second All Australian selection this season, while Wines' year was ruined by injury.

"It will be a huge plus for this club if we're able to get their signatures," Boak said.

"The way we're building the brand of the club and internally the expectations … and what we stand for, I think we've shown we've been able to hold our players.

"Fingers crossed that happens [this week]."
