The Collingwood Football Club today announced that it had imposed stringent behavioural guidelines on Alan Didak.

Didak has committed to a series of conditions during the playing season that he:
  • not consume alcohol
  • observe a 1.00am curfew
  • not attend night clubs
  • undergo alcohol counselling
A breach of these conditions could result in the termination of his relationship with the club.

During today’s media conference Collingwood CEO Gary Pert confirmed that Didak had no prior association with Christopher Hudson.

Alan Didak read a statement as follows:

"My actions of a few weeks ago were reckless, embarrassing, stupid and those of someone not thinking clearly.

"As a result, my reputation has been damaged. I only now fully realise the responsibility I have to myself, to Collingwood, the AFL and the community.

"To move forward, the club, the playing group and I have met to discuss a clear set of guidelines that I must adhere to if I am to remain a Collingwood player."
