SUMMARY
This game is all about Gary Ablett with the champion midfielder set to run out at Skilled Stadium in a Gold Coast jumper for the first time.

Ominously for Ablett, his former club could hardly be in better form. The Cats put on an extraordinary display last weekend, setting a new club-record winning margin as they thrashed Melbourne by 186 points.

Everything went right for Geelong against the Demons. Cameron Mooney returned from six weeks in the VFL and bagged five goals, while Steve Johnson (seven goals) and Joel Selwood (43 possessions) were outstanding.

Despite many tipping Melbourne to make the eight at the start of the year, the Demons offered so little opposition that Geelong is likely to face tougher competition against the inexperienced Suns on Saturday.

If not for some inaccurate kicking - they booted 6.18 - Guy McKenna's men might have beaten St Kilda last Saturday night.

Although they lost by 20 points, the Suns have been showing plenty of intensity, desire and skill.

This game will start at 1.40pm - 30 minutes earlier than originally scheduled - so it doesn't finish in the dark.

QUESTION MARKS

How will the Geelong crowd treat Gary Ablett? It was heartbreaking for Cats fans to lose their best player to the Suns. But given he achieved so much before he left, most importantly helping the club break its 44-year premiership drought, the Skilled Stadium faithful should cheer rather than boo the little champion.

Is Steve Johnson the best player in the AFL? Johnson's effort against Melbourne was extraordinary: seven goals, 11 score assists (nine of them led to goals), 34 possessions and four tackles. Surely it is now fair to put him in the same bracket as players like Chris Judd.

PREDICTION

Geelong by 67 points

TOYOTA AFL DREAM TEAM WATCH

Geelong had nine players who notched more than 100 Dream Team points last weekend. Joel Selwood led the way with 178 points, a performance that boosted his price by $14,200 to $404,000.

Former Collingwood midfielder Danny Stanley has been a Dream Team revelation for the Suns, and he picked up another 83 points against the Saints last round. Stanley's price has now risen by a total of $228,000.
