GREATER Western Sydney has no plans to review its welfare and education programs despite Shane Mumford's controversial sledging incident involving Lance Franklin.
Mumford called Franklin on Tuesday to apologise, after the ruckman verbally taunted the Sydney Swans star during Saturday's qualifying final at ANZ Stadium about his off-field struggles on the eve of last year's finals series.
GWS general manager of football Wayne Campbell said he doesn't see a need for any type of review, and he's confident his club has all the right structures in place.
"I'd like to think that we do that on a constant basis, and whether that's with the whole group or just the leadership group discussing things," he said on Wednesday.
"A lot of that stuff doesn't make the public domain, so I wouldn't have though we'd have to address it on the back of this.
"I think people learn from it, Shane (Mumford) has learned from it, and by osmosis, I think everyone learns from it."
Campbell said he was satisfied with how the Giants and the Swans, along with their respective players, handled the situation.
"You can't help but admire someone who acknowledges he's made an error and puts his hand up, and Shane (Mumford) did that," he said.
"I think it's a good way to deal with things. He gets on the phone and has a chat with Lance, and they deal with it behind closed doors as best as they can.
"We move on from there, and we hope all parties can do that."
