COLLINGWOOD midfielder Alan Didak has signed a two-year deal with the club, cementing his place at the Magpies until the end of the 2010 season.
The new contract, which will take Didak to 10 years with the club, does not impose previous conditions relating to alcohol restrictions and a curfew applied to the 25-year-old since midway through 2007.
"It’s good to know that with a new contract there are no other conditions that I had implemented last year," Didak said in a CTV interview.
"It’s good that I’m going to be treated like any other individual in the team, and I’m looking forward to the challenge. I fully understand I have a responsibility to carry myself in a way that is acceptable to the Collingwood Football Club."
Didak has played all 15 games this year, averaging 22 touches a match.
Undergoing knee surgery after winning the Copeland Trophy and All-Australian honours in 2006, he has returned to peak form in 2008.
"I feel pretty good," he said. "Probably this time last year I thought my career was at the crossroads, so it’s good to finally get the deal done."
