Wilson retired last Tuesday – due to a knee injury – after 192 AFL games across 12 seasons at Port Adelaide. Wilson remains modest however, during the week saying the lap of honour was “almost a bit embarrassing”.
“I’m looking forward to it (the lap of honour) though, it’ll give me a chance to thank the fans for all their support over my time at Port Adelaide,” Wilson said.
Wilson will be joined on the lap by his four children – Noah, Lucy, and twins Tom and Charlie.
The lap will start at 7.10pm at the Power’s race.
The club is urging supporters to be in their seats by 7.10pm to farewell this Port Adelaide Football Club legend.
