THE GRAND Final rematch in round three proved a walk in the park for Hawthorn, but the stakes are higher on Sunday for Fremantle. The Hawks are entrenched in the top four but the Dockers must win to avoid slipping to fifth and Hawthorn appears to be Fremantle's kryptonite. The Dockers have struggled against Hawthorn more than any other team in its 20-year history. They have won just 24 per cent of their matches against the Hawks and Ross Lyon is yet to taste success against Hawthorn as the Fremantle coach. The Dockers have struggled to score against the Hawks whereas the Hawks have had no such problems with the Dockers’ much vaunted defence.

THE SIX POINTS
1. Hawthorn is the best clearance team in the AFL in 2014 averaging 41.4 per game. The Dockers are seventh with 39.3 per game.

2. In 29 contests between the sides Hawthorn has dominated winning 22 games to 7, including the last six (a club record) and nine of the last 10 since 2008.

3. Despite being on top of the ladder Hawthorn is the worst tackling team in 2014, ranked 18th and averaging only 61.2 per game. Fremantle is ranked 12th with 65.6 per game.

4. This will be the 12th meeting between the sides at Patersons Stadium with Hawthorn leading the head to head seven to five. But the Hawks have lost four of their last six at the venue.

5. Hawthorn is number one for inside-50s in 2014, averaging 57 per game. Fremantle is ranked eighth with 50.5 per game.

6. Nat Fyfe has climbed into the top 10 of the Official AFL player ratings for the first time in his career. He is the highest scoring player in the ratings over the past month.
