Team of the Decade

Toby Thurstans was drafted by Port Adelaide in the 1998 National Draft as pick 39, but it wasn’t until Round 1, 2003, that he made his debut in AFL ranks. His debut season was an immediate success, however, and he was voted the Best First Year Player that year. The following year he played in a Premiership with the Power, and was an integral player in the big game, playing as a key forward.
