TOURNAMENT favourites South Australia handed Northern Territory a belting in perfect conditions in Darwin, winning their NAB AFL Under-18 contest at TIO stadium on Saturday evening by 91 points.The Croweaters had all but put the game out of reach by quarter time, kicking eight goals to two, and increased their margin at every change.They were led by two powerful marking targets - Port Adelaide Magpies’ Jamie Solly and Glenelg’s Darcy Armfield, who kicked six and five goals respectively. Jared Polec was also extremely impressive for the winners, as was promising key position player Sam Day.NT battled hard all evening with David Kruse, Jack McEwin and Shannon Rioli showing plenty in front of their home supporters.South Australia’s next game shapes as a beauty when they host the powerful Vic Metro team at Norwood Oval in Adelaide on June 12. Meanwhile the Territory boys will need to pack the thermals for a trip to Launceston and a match-up against Tasmania on June 19.
