ESSENDON's horrendous injury woes have continued with Alwyn Davey substituted out of Friday night's game against Richmond with a hamstring complaint.
The Bombers have been decimated by soft-tissue injuries all season and have added another name to the injury list with Davey coming off at quarter-time to be replaced by Jake Melksham.
David Zaharakis, Kyle Reimers, Michael Hibberd, Mark McVeigh, Michael Hurley, Patrick Ryder, Brent Stanton, Stewart Crameri, Courtenay Dempsey, David Hille, David Myers, Ben Howlett, Angus Monfries and Jason Winderlich have all spent time on the sidelines this year with soft-tissue injuries, placing increased pressure on strength and conditioning coach Dean Robinson.
The Bombers have suffered a total of 18 soft-tissue injuries this season.
Richmond was forced to make its substitution mid-way through the second quarter when Matthew White came off with a right hamstring injury. He was replaced by Brett O'Hanlon.
