A  "TELL-ALL" Dane Swan interview on Channel Nine's The Footy Show has created some angst at Collingwood, with Magpie chief Gary Pert concerned that Swan's management did not forewarn the club.  

 

"Dane's management negotiated and conducted the interview before the club's administration was advised," Collingwood chief executive Gary Pert told News Limited.

"While we encourage our players to do media work because our supporters enjoy it, we were surprised with the timing of this interview."

The Pies are thought to be anxious that the interview may create tension on the eve of the season, particularly after similarly angst-ridden interviews in the past featuring former coach Mick Malthouse and star forward Travis Cloke.

In its promotions for the interview, Swan, the 2011 Brownlow medallist, is asked whether he has a drug problem.

Ironically, the interview is on the show the Magpies' president Eddie McGuire used to host.
