STEPHEN Silvagni has refused to be drawn on media reports he is set to quit his position as list manager at Greater Western Sydney.

The Carlton champion has previously been linked to a move back to Visy Park, with former Blues president Stephen Kernahan admitting in March he would like his premiership teammate to rejoin the club.

But Silvagni hosed-down speculation in a statement released on the Giants' website on Monday night.

"I am currently contracted to the Giants. After a successful trade period, the club is now focused on next month's NAB AFL Draft and contract extensions for a number of our players," Silvagni said.

"We hold a strong position at the draft and look forward to continuing to build on the gains made last week with the recruitment of Ryan Griffen and Joel Patfull."

Silvagni joined GWS as list manager in 2011, the season before the club debuted in the AFL.

He played 312 games at Carlton and won two premierships with the Blues in a highly-decorated career spanning 17 seasons before his retirement in 2001.

In June, AFL.com.au reported Carlton failed in an audacious bid to snare Hawthorn's recruiting and list manager Graham Wright.
