GOLD Coast CEO Mark Evans will lead a review into the club's struggling football program as it labours through another mediocre season.
After losing to Sydney by 67 points on Saturday, the Suns are all but out of the finals race with a 6-9 win-loss record.
Coach Rodney Eade is out of contract, as are all of his assistant coaches, while the tenures of football manager Marcus Ashcroft and list manager Scott Clayton will also be assessed.
The expectations versus the performance of Gold Coast this season have been stark.
At the beginning of the year they ushered in Evans, opened a brand new training and administration facility, had the healthiest list in Eade's three-year stint and hoped to push for a top-eight spot.
What they've delivered – at best – has been inconsistent, with horror losses to GWS, Port Adelaide and now the Swans punctuating their campaign.
Chairman Tony Cochrane told News Corp this review had been slated for a while.
"At our last board meeting the board instructed Mark Evans to undertake a wide-ranging assessment of our football program,’’ Cochrane said.
“With his experience and expertise there is no person better placed to assess out entire program than Mark."
