Midfielder Simon Hogan and ruckman Mark Blake are amongst eightAFL/Rookie listed players that have been included in the squad for this week’s VFL practice match against the Bendigo Bombers.
The squad has a vastly different look to the team that went down to the Collingwood VFL side by 17 points last weekend.
Saturday’s match will be the first opportunity for Cats fans to see Troy Selwood in the blue and white hoops. The 26 year old former Brisbane Lions midfielder has had an injury free pre-season and will add some much needed experience to the young squad.
Other VFL regulars including premiership defender Matthew Firman and Bell Park midfielder Jackson Sheringham will also play their first games of the season.
