Andrew McLeod chats to Chris Knights in the round 15 edition of ‘Down the Guts’.

On the eve of his return to footy through the SANFL, Knights talks about his time spent rehabilitating his injury and reflects on his experience while on the sidelines.

“It has been very frustrating because you start 2010 with expectations of hopefully returning to the form you were in previously,” Knights said.

“It has definitely been a very good learning experience for me. I learnt a lot about myself as a person and as a player when the chips are down. I thought that I have grown as a bit of a leader around the footy club.”

McLeod also chats about his injury and gives the fans an update of his progress during the week at training.

“I had two training sessions with the boys and I just really enjoyed being back out there again and getting amongst it, McLeod said.

“It’s a good stepping stone for me building up to hopefully playing pretty soon.”

We also catch up with two of the club’s rehab staff, David Binney and James Hanisch, and get an insight into injury rehabilitation and what the players are like off the training track.
