Australia’s home of sporting treasures, the National Sports Museum (NSM) at the MCG, is celebrating Australia’s rich and varied sporting scene with March Membership Madness during the Labour Day long weekend (12-14 March).

Children aged between 5 and 15 will gain free entry to the NSM on display of a valid 2011 North Melbourne junior membership card.

Fans of all sporting codes will find something to marvel at in the museum, including the 3D theatrettes featuring cricket great Shane Warne, and the multi sports display featuring soccer, netball and rugby league and more. It’s also one of the last
opportunities to see Ashes to Ashes, an exhibition which traces the history of cricket’s greatest rivalry.

Throughout the Labour Day weekend the NSM’s unique Game On interactive gallery will provide hours of entertainment - kids will love the chance to test their cricket, footy, soccer and archery skills against their parents and friends.

This weekend will also offer a chance for kids to win a trip to Paris or Hong Kong by entering the Great Netball Shootout competition - with a one minute time limit, kids will need to combine shooting accuracy and speed for the chance to win this amazing prize.

On Monday 14 March, the National Sports Museum will also feature a range of fun activities for kids including mosaic-making, face-painting and balloon-sculpting as well as an appearance of Cadbury’s Freddo the Frog.
