Port Adelaide will take a near full strength side into its final trial game against Sydney this Friday night at Telstra Stadium.

Only Shaun Burgoyne is still being rested with a slightly corked hip – the other six regular first-team players who sat out last week’s win over St Kilda are back.

Returning to the 28-man squad named on Wednesday afternoon are: Chad Cornes, Kane Cornes, Josh Mahoney, Damon White, Michael Wilson, and Brendon Lade.

Having seen many outstanding performances from young players this pre-season, the coaches have a particularly difficult task on their hands as they go about making room in the team for those returning players.

The youngsters forced out of last week’s side so far are Justin Westhoff, Nick Lower, Jonathan Giles, and Robbie Gray.

Power football manager Peter Rohde said the Power would field a side of 24 players, meaning a further four players will be squeezed out, a task he said the coaches will find “very, very tough”.

The Power has its last major training session of the week on Wednesday from 3pm at AAMI Stadium and leaves for Sydney on Thursday.

The 28-man squad, from which 24 will take on Sydney on Friday night, is as follows...
