St Kilda vs Fremantle at the Telstra Dome

·        St Kilda has been in front at quarter time in eight of its nine games at the Telstra Dome this season.

·        In the past four rounds, St Kilda has averaged 35 hardball-gets a game – the fewest of any side.

·        Fremantle has lost 12 of its past 13 games interstate. The only win they have had was in round 16, 2007 against Adelaide.

·        Fremantle has lost the clearance count in all of its 12 games this season despite winning the hitouts.

·        Jeff Farmer finished with a career-high 27 disposals against the Kangaroos last week. He has kicked multiple goals in each of his past three games against the Saints.

Hawthorn vs North Melbourne at the MCG

·        Hawthorn has allowed its opposition to score just 65 per cent of its goals from within the corridor this season – the fewest of any side.

·        Mark Williams finished with an equal career-high of 17 disposals last week. He also grabbed a career-high 12 marks for the night, laid five tackles and kicked 2.3.

·        Luke Hodge has had a total of just 25 disposals in his past two games against the Kangaroos, after being shut-down by Brady Rawlings in both games.

·        In the past four rounds, the Kangaroos have had a 65 per cent kicking efficiency – the second worst record of any team in the competition.

·        Daniel Wells has averaged 23 disposals, three clearances and four inside 50s in his past five games against the Hawks.

Port Adelaide vs Richmond at AAMI Stadium

·        Port Adelaide has won seven of its past eight games against Richmond at AAMI Stadium.

·        Kane Cornes has averaged 28 disposals, six marks, four inside 50s and three rebound 50s in his past five games against the Tigers.

·        Tom Logan has averaged a career-high 16 disposals, six marks and two rebound 50s per game this season. He has also been Port Adelaide’s most outside player for the season, winning 80 per cent of his possessions uncontested.

·        In the past four weeks, Richmond has won a hitout from only 25 per cent of centre bounces – the lowest percentage of any side in that time.

·        Since making his debut in round 8, Trent Cotchin ranks equal third at the club in contested possessions, fourth in handballs and hardball-gets, fifth in score assists and ninth in disposals and marks.

Brisbane vs Adelaide at the Gabba

·        Brisbane has been kept to fewer than 10 goals in each of its past three games against the Crows.

·        Brisbane had just 37 inside 50s against the Bulldogs last week - its fewest in a game this season.

·        Jonathan Brown has been a multiple goalkicker in only two of his past nine games against the Crows.

·        In the past four weeks, Adelaide has scored a goal from just 23 per cent of inside 50s – ranked 16th in the AFL.

·        Scott Thompson is the Crows’ leading contested possession and uncontested possession winner this season. He has been on fire in the past four weeks, ranking No. 1 in the AFL for kicks, equal No. 1 in clearances and third in disposals.   

West Coast vs Geelong at Subiaco

·        The Eagles have been the second lowest scoring side of the competition this season averaging just 78 points per game. They have grabbed the fewest marks of any side inside 50 this season with 30 fewer than the next lowest ranked side.

·        West Coast has made 71 interchange moves per game this season – the second fewest of any side.

·        Quinten Lynch has managed to kick just two goals in his past four games against the Cats.

·        Geelong won 39 more contested possessions than Port Adelaide last week – its best result in any game since round 16, 2005 – also against Port Adelaide.

·        Jimmy Bartel has averaged 27 disposals, six marks and six clearances in his past four games against the Eagles.

Melbourne vs Sydney at Manuka Oval

·        In the past four weeks, Melbourne has allowed its opposition to have 119 running bounces – the most in the competition.

·        Paul Johnson has played eight games for the season and is averaging career-highs of 13 disposals, four marks and 10 hitouts per game.

·        This season, Sydney is averaging its highest ever points for and its lowest ever points against while playing under Paul Roos.

·        Brett Kirk is having a career-best season in terms of scoreboard impact. He has kicked eight goals for the season and has had 18 score assists – ranked equal third at the club.

·        Michael O’Loughlin has kicked 31 goals this season with 15 of those coming in the past four weeks.

Carlton vs Essendon at the MCG

·        Carlton has effected 331 spoils in 2008 – ranked No. 1 in the competition.

·        Carlton has scored over 100 points in each of its past five games against Essendon, however has also conceded over 100 points in the past four meetings.

·        In the past two weeks Jordan Russell has totalled 18 disposals in the fourth quarter – all of them have been effective.

·        The Bombers have averaged only 195 uncontested possessions per game in the past month – 16 fewer than any other side.

·        Matthew Lloyd has averaged 15 disposals, eight marks and six goals in his past four games against the Blues.

Collingwood vs Western Bulldogs at the Telstra Dome

·        Collingwood’s tally of 133 contested marks in 2008 ranks equal second in the competition.

·        Collingwood has scored more behinds than goals in seven of its past nine games against the Bulldogs.

·        Paul Medhurst kicked four goals last week, the fourth time in the past eight games he has scored four or more goals.

·        The Bulldogs still remain as the only side not to have scored fewer than 100 points in any game this season. Its lowest score was 106 which it scored in rounds 10 and 11.

·        Adam Cooney won a career-high 37 disposals last week against the Lions. He ranks second in the AFL for disposals, fifth in looseball-gets, sixth in contested possessions and equal sixth in clearances.
