NORTH Melbourne recruit Tom Campbell will have a delayed start to the home and away season after accepting a one-match suspension for rough conduct. 

And Adelaide co-captain Taylor Walker will head to the Tribunal on Tuesday night in a bid to overturn a fine for engaging in rough conduct. 

Campbell, 27, will be unavailable for North's clash with Fremantle at Optus Stadium on Sunday, March 24. 

He was charged by Match Review Officer Michael Christian after tackling St Kilda ruckman Lewis Pierce in the first quarter of Saturday's JLT Community Series match at Avalon Airport Oval. 

As Campbell tackled Pierce, he pinned the Saint's left arm and took him to ground. Pierce's head absorbed much of the impact and he took no further part in the game after displaying symptoms of concussion.

The MRO assessed Campbell's conduct as careless with medium impact to the head.

In delivering its findings from the first round of the JLT series, the MRO also issued fines to four players.

Meanwhile, Walker will seek to overturn a $2000 sanction for engaging in rough conduct against Port Adelaide's Riley Bonner during the first quarter of Saturday's match at the Memorial Oval.

Walker will face the Tribunal from 5pm on Tuesday night. 

Bomber Kyle Langford has accepted a $1000 fine for making careless contact to umpire Simon Meredith during the third quarter of Essendon's game against Carlton last Thursday.

Carlton's Harry McKay will pay a $2000 fine for striking Essendon's Patrick Ambrose during the fourth quarter of the same game.

And first-year Swan Nick Blakey has accepted a $2000 fine for striking Matt Buntine during the second quarter of Sydney's clash with Greater Western Sydney at Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday.
