The Victorian Government announced today that AAMI Park will host the AFL Grand Final replay live site on Saturday.

Supporters from both sides can attend the free live site to watch the match.  The event is open to the public with members and non members able to attend.

The premiership side will be presented on stage at AAMI Park later in the day.

The stadium is able to accommodate up to 30,000 supporters with the event to support a family-friendly environment.

"There will be giant screens to show the game for the tens of thousands of fans," sports minister James Merlino told the media in attendance.

"Post game the winning team and premiership cup will come to AAMI Park and be presented to the thousands and thousands of fans.

"It will be a licensed and catered event.  All of the amenities at AAMI Park will make it a great fan experience."

When questioned about the security issues that the venue might face, Merlino believes AAMI Park is adequately equipped to handle every scenario.

"It will be a family-friendly event.  We wanted to give as many fans the opportunity to experience the grand final so it will be a secure event.

"One of the great things about sport in Australia is fans of the competing teams can watch and support their teams together."
