In Round 16 of the Toyota AFL Premiership season we celebrate Toyota Good for Footy Round, and encourage clubs to take advantage of the Toyota Good for Footy Raffle which marks it's 10-year anniversary in 2024!

Round 16 of the Toyota AFL Premiership Season marks ‘Toyota Good for Footy Round' as the league celebrates the significant contribution Toyota makes to Australian rules football, from grassroots to elite.

As one of the longest sporting partnerships in the world, Toyota has supported our game for more than 20 years and raised more than $11 million for thousands of local clubs through its Toyota Good for Footy program.

At the heart of the campaign is the Toyota Good for Footy Raffle – remarkably celebrating its 10-year anniversary this season – and the Toyota AFL National Volunteer of the Year Awards, which recognises and rewards dedicated and passionate volunteers around the country.

To mark the 10-year milestone of the Toyota Good for Footy Raffle, the largest prize pool in the raffle's history is on offer in 2024 – including three brand new Toyota vehicles – with local footy clubs encouraged to galvanise their community to ‘Raise Like a Legend' and get behind the cause.

Tickets are only $5 and all proceeds raised goes straight back to the clubs, meaning they can use those funds to purchase new uniforms, equipment or upgrade facilities. Last year alone 745 footy clubs raised just over $1 million from the initiative – the largest total on record since it started in 2015.

The raffle closes on Monday 9 September and will be drawn on Friday 13 September.

This year also sees a boost in prizes for the 2024 Toyota AFL National Volunteer of the Year Awards. For the first time, two winners nationally will walk away with a brand new Toyota vehicle including recipients of the Toyota AFL Community Volunteer of the Year and Toyota AFL Young Leader of the Year.

As part of the celebrations for the round, Marvel Stadium will host a Toyota Good for Footy Live event – Toyota's Live Conversation – tomorrow night, with members of local footy clubs in attendance along with a host of AFL guest speakers, including AFL CEO, Andrew Dillon.

AFL Executive General Manager of Customer and Commercial, Kylie Rogers, said Toyota Good for Footy Round was a chance to recognise Toyota's passion and commitment to Australian football.

"We're delighted to celebrate Toyota Good for Footy Round this week across the AFL and champion our shared vision with Toyota to grow Australian footy for future generations," Rogers said.

"Toyota is an incredible partner who give so much to our game and this week is all about recognising the contribution their team makes throughout all levels of footy around the country.

"Their ongoing commitment to give back to local clubs, recognise volunteers and support game development aligns with our values, and we're incredibly proud to be supported by such an iconic brand who wants to make a positive impact in communities."

Toyota Australia Chief Marketing Officer, Vin Naidoo said Toyota was delighted to celebrate the 10-year milestone of the community fundraising initiative during the Toyota Good for Footy Round.

"Over the last decade, Toyota's Good for Footy program has provided substantial support for our community clubs across Australia and it's through activities such as the Toyota Good for Footy Raffle that we are able to give back to these local communities," he said.

"The funds raised go directly back to the clubs and can be used to purchase new equipment or make upgrades to their facilities, which encourages growth and enables clubs to thrive.

"Toyota Australia is committed to supporting football at all levels, and we are proud to provide programs like Good for Footy, which help strengthen the game we all love, from grassroots to the elite."

Toyota Good for Footy Round kicks off on Friday when the Brisbane Lions host Melbourne at the Gabba.
