Planet Teal has started 2008 with a bigger team, which now includes Erin Phillips, current World and Commonwealth Basketball Champion and member of Adelaide’s Link Lightning and Aussie Opals Basketball teams. She has been a representative player since 1999 and is a very familiar face around the schools, as she has already been working with the Planet Teal team on the CYP program for the past few years.

 

She brings to the team a wealth of experience, having played Basketball around the world and has lived and played at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra and for the Connecticut Suns in the USA.

 

Erin will continue to conduct school visits and will be at selected Planet Teal events. She is a mad Power supporter, and the club is proud to return the support in her journey to the Beijing Olympics in August.

The best advice I've ever had was :Different Advice applies to different situations therefore there isn't just one best piece of advice!! I have been given lots of advice from different people and the best pieces of advice are the ones that I believe in, value, and then use them to guide me in different situations in life.

If I wasn't a basketballer, I would love to be: An AFL Boundary Reporter, TV.

Favourite Savoury food: Chicken Risotto and Anything Mum Cooks
