ESSENDON supporters have been reminded there will be no general admission for the Anzac Day blockbuster this year, with fans facing hikes in ticket prices for the Collingwood clash.
Only reserved seats will be available for the marquee MCG match. The cheapest seat for the game through general ticketing is $25, however these are limited.
Reserved seats on level four have increased from $40 in 2016 to $60. Seats on the wing of level two are up $5 to $75.
Tickets for the home and away season will go on sale on March 8, with club members able to secure reserved seats at 9am AEDT on March 6.
"We would like to remind members attending Anzac Day that you must have a reserved seat ticket as there will be no general admission available on Anzac Day," Essendon’s chief marketing officer Justin Rodski said on the club's website.
"Membership still represents the best value to attend Essendon games.
"The cheapest option to upgrade on Anzac Day for Essendon members is a $7 seat on level 4 (Q deck) of the Southern Stand but these are subject to availability with approximately 2,500 seats available."
General admission tickets remain $25 for all games at the MCG and Etihad Stadium, and kids will enjoy free entry for Sunday games.
