In his first year at the Lions Cutler played seven games, averaging 12 disposals, including a high of 21 against Richmond in round five.
The 19-year-old running half-back was drafted by the Lions from the Oakleigh Chargers with pick No.33 in the 2013 NAB AFL Draft.
Cutler struggled with a groin injury early in the year before undergoing surgery on a minor knee injury in August, which saw him miss the remainder of the season.
James Aish is the only remaining 2013 draftee yet to extend his contract - which still has 12 months remaining on it - following the earlier re-signings of Lewy Taylor, Daniel McStay, Darcy Gardiner and Nick Robertson.
Lions general manager of football operations Dean Warren said Cutler would be an important player in the future and had settled well into the Brisbane lifestyle since moving from Melbourne.
