FULL INJURY LIST Who's racing the clock for round one?
A relative of Essendon legend Michael Long, he has played 14 games (including 10 last year, kicking seven goals) since being selected with pick 25 in the 2016 NAB AFL Draft.
He missed 10 rounds in 2018 with a foot injury and received a nomination for the NAB AFL Rising Star in round five.
"Before the foot injury, Ben really showcased the type of player he can become for the Saints," St Kilda list manager James Gallagher told the club website.
"He's had a strong summer and will be a very good player for a long time to come.
"He's predominantly played as a forward in his career to date but has the ability to play in a variety of positions with his speed and skill."
Long said he has been enjoying his footy over the past two years at the Saints.
"We have a great group of guys coming through together, and I'm excited to be part of that," Long said.
