 		there's been a bigger roll of the dice at selection in 2014 than the Bombers elevating for Anzac Day Courtenay Dempsey, a player they suspended and who hasn't played seniors this year...…well, there hasn't.
Fremantle
 		we've appreciated one thing this week......it is this: Ross Lyon's openness on so many issues, from his own players' behaviour to the laws of the game. More please.

 		Kyle Cheney gets the chop ……he's within his rights to take Clarko to Fair Work Australia. Sound contributor in first four weeks when the back six operated as a unit. Not his fault he's isolated against the biggest key forward in the comp.
Melbourne
 		there's one good thing to emerge from the traumas experienced by Jack Trengove......it is that never ever again will a club consider appointing a 20-year-old as captain.
North Melbournethe Roos had one thing going for them in a 2013 season that was mostly bad......it was that their attacking style of play was elite at times. Hope they haven't abandoned that side of the game in an all-out pursuit of defensive quality.
Port Adelaide
 		Robbie Gray could do any more to get noticed......he'd have to shave his head. Ripping start to 2014. Just starting to regain full fitness. Just turned 26. Just reaching his prime. Just a great footy story.
