IT'S been well over 70 years since Jack 'Skinny' Titus graced a football field, but the legendary Tiger still holds the VFL/AFL record for consecutive seasons kicking over 40 goals.
The only current player in with a chance of toppling Titus is Lance Franklin, now coming to the end of his second year of a 10-year deal with the Swans. Buddy has comfortably topped the 40-goal mark in each of the past nine seasons (including this one), so he looks every chance to break this record while in Sydney.
Elsewhere, it looks like only Adelaide's Sam Jacobs will keep a consecutive games streak alive amongst active ruckman, after the decision of both Fremantle and North Melbourne to rest Aaron Sandilands and Todd Goldstein respectively for their round 23 games.
