NORTH Melbourne will be without its vice-captain for Saturday's clash against Melbourne at the MCG after Robbie Tarrant was a late withdrawal, with Majak Daw coming in as his replacement.
Tarrant was ruled out with hamstring soreness, while Daw will play his first senior game since being moved into defence ahead of the 2018 season.
Melbourne's team will line up as selected.
Tarrant will be a huge loss for the Roos. The key defender would likely have manned Demons spearhead Jesse Hogan, while he is also one of the Kangaroos' best rebounders.
Daw gets his opportunity after starring for North's VFL team in a practice match against Collingwood last Sunday.
