The Lions have returned home from their Round 19 match against Hawthorn at Aurora Stadium last Saturday in what was their first match in Tasmania for premiership points since the merged team was formed in 1997.

A selection of Lions members joined the Club on it’s ‘Tassie Tour’ which included a round of golf, tickets to a function featuring AFL legend Peter Hudson and Beaconsfield mine hero Todd Russell and a popular winery tour.

Now all Lions members and supporters have their own opportunity to get their own taste of the Apple Isle at ‘Tasmania Unbottled’ wine tasting events at Brisbane’s City Hall on Wednesday 3 September 2008.

Around 150 wines from 28 top producers will be on offer including world class Sparkling and Pinot Noir. There will also be a selection of highly rated cool climate Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The event is open to the public from 4pm to 8pm at a cost of $45 per head. Tasmanian gourmet delights will accompany the wine tasting line-up.
