kangaroos.com.au says:
A promising finish to 2010 had Matt Campbell itching for more, but things didn't go his way.
He looked refreshed and invigorated going into the pre-season, but his progress was brought to a standstill after he injured his hamstring chasing Bulldog Easton Wood in a NAB Challenge match.
Back in the mix for a recall after some strong performances for North Ballarat in the VFL, he again hurt his hamstring and spent more time on the sidelines.
He battled on though and upon his return was a strong contributor for the Roosters, and he earned a call-up for the round 16 clash against Collingwood.
After just four possessions against the Magpies many thought he'd be omitted, but Campbell rewarded Brad Scott's faith by booting three goals against the Bulldogs the following week.
With North's finals hopes in the balance, he almost won the game off his own boot in round 20 against the Hawks with four last-quarter goals in one of the best individual efforts of the season.
Staying injury free is what's most important to Campbell's ambitions in 2012.
