SpiritWest Services, the community division of the Western Bulldogs, is seeking a passionate full time teacher for its Fresh Program. Fresh is a community education service for at risk youth who have disengaged from mainstream settings. Western Bulldogs SpiritWest Services is a registered provider of VCAL and VCE courses.

Delivered in a flexible non-school environment, Fresh aims to provide students with valuable applied learning opportunities as a way of allowing each of them to positively reconnect with their community. The program also aims to develop relevant pathways for each student and see them achieve sustainable change in their life.

Students are of post-compulsory age (15 to 20) and many have faced multiple barriers to successful educational engagement in the past. Fresh works with a host of corporate and community partners to deliver targeted, engaging learning experiences to its students. Demand for places is high and students are intensively supported to achieve the best outcomes.

You must be a qualified teacher who is resourceful, hard working and a team player.  You will have proven experience working with at risk youth in an education setting, supporting them to achieve success in learning. As part of your role you will be responsible for coordinating and leading VCAL areas of study including literacy, numeracy, personal development and vocational units.
