SYDNEY SWANS coach Paul Roos has that revealed star forward Barry Hall may have broken his wrist against West Coast after earlier being reported for striking in the first quarter.

Hall ran into an advertising hoarding late in the match at ANZ Stadium and left the field shortly after.

“I think he might have broken his wrist. That's the early diagnosis at the moment,” Roos said after the game.

“It's a significant injury if it's broken. It's not great but there's not much you can do about it now.”

The wrist injury completed an eventful night for the 31-year-old Swan, who also booted a solitary goal.

“I didn't see the incident with [Brent] Staker, obviously being on the bench I can see the replays on the screen, so I missed that,” Roos said.

“But I don't think he'll be playing too much in the however many weeks anyway.”

Roos said his side will “cope and restructure” following the Hall loss, and with small forward Nick Davis excelling in the reserves, he could well be recalled for next week's big clash away to Geelong.

Roos added that “there were a fair few guys out from their best team but things can turn around pretty quickly.”

“They've still got a good forward line and defence and some young guys. It's hard to cover those losses and we consider ourselves a pretty good football team.

“But we got on top early and we were able to keep working away.”

Darren Jolly rolled his ankle for a second time in two weeks but Roos said his first-choice ruckman should be fine for the Geelong clash.
