The latest instalment of Chris Mayne’s special summer series, ‘The Mayne Minutes’ sees rookie Nathan Fyfe talk about the big move from WAFL colts to AFL football.
A country boy from Lake Grace, Fyfe was selected by Fremantle in the 2009 AFL Draft after having played colts for Claremont last season.
He highlighted his potential with a solid under-18s carnival and a match-winning display in the Tigers’ Colts Grand Final win.
The 18-year-old tells ‘The Mayne Minutes’ about his draft day experience and life as a professional footballer at Fremantle.
“It’s a good challenge but a bit tougher to adapt to,” he said. “Hopefully that will come over the next season.”
Fyfe also reveals to FTV viewers about his efforts to stack on the kilos, the friendships he has made at the club so far, and his expectations for the future.
