MELBOURNE has recalled veteran James McDonald for its clash with North Melbourne at the MCG on Sunday.

McDonald comes in for his first match since the club's round-13 loss to the Sydney Swans.

Joining the acting co-captain in the final 22 is Addam Maric, an 18-year-old schoolboy from the Calder Cannons, who will make his AFL debut. The small forward was taken by Melbourne with pick no. 21 in the 2007 NAB AFL Draft.

The Demons have been forced to leave out Paul Wheatley and Austin Wonaeamirri due to injury, while emergencies Jeff White and Nathan Carroll remain on the outer.

North Melbourne has made just one change to the team which upset Collingwood last Friday night, bringing in Blake Grima for the injured Ben Ross.

Jess Sinclair, Leigh Brown and Matt Riggio are the Roos' emergencies.

Port Adelaide has made three changes to the side that defeated the Crows in Showdown XXV last week, naming Travis Boak, Fabian Deluca and Toby Thurstans in the final 22.

Out of the side to square off against Fremantle on Sunday at AAMI Stadium go Adam Thomson and All-Australian duo Chad Cornes -- who has been mothballed for season 2008 due to ongoing injury problems -- and Brendon Lade, who once again finds himself out of favour.

Fremantle has made two forced changes, after they lost Brock O'Brien and Andrew Browne to injury. Ryan Murphy and Paul Duffield are the inclusions.

Kepler Bradley and Adam Campbell join Rhys Palmer, a surprise inclusion in last night's provisional squad of 25, as emergencies.

The Western Bulldogs have brought back Tom Williams and Josh Hill to the team that will meet Carlton at Telstra Dome on Sunday afternoon.

Andrejs Everitt and Stephen Tiller have been demoted to the emergencies list, and they will be joined by first-year player Callan Ward.

Carlton has made just one change, bringing in Steven Browne for the omitted Adam Bentick.

Shaun Hampson and Dennis Armfield join Bentick as the three players on standby for the Blues.
