RICHMOND tall forward Jay Schulz cracked a rib in the Tigers' NAB Challenge win over the Sydney Swans on Friday night, the club said.
Schulz was x-rayed on Saturday after colliding with teammate Matthew Richardson during Richmond's 25-point win in Canberra.
He will miss the side’s final NAB Challenge match against Geelong at Skilled Stadium next Friday, but should be available for the Tigers' season-opener against Carlton on March 20.
Two other players – tall defender Graham Polak (bruised heel) and ruckman Troy Simmonds (quad tightness) – also had injury concerns.
But Simmonds has been cleared to play against the Cats, while Polak might miss that match, but will be available for round one.
