The North Melbourne Football Club’s brand new state-of-the-art headquarters will now be known as Aegis Park after the signing of a significant three-year partnership with Aegis.

North Chairman James Brayshaw said the major announcement marks the completion of the $15 million facility.

“This was a project undertaken by the current board and administration and we have delivered this club a world-class training base.

“The facility is widely acknowledged as cutting edge, not only in terms of the football club’s needs, but also the needs of the local community.

“It is with great pleasure that Aegis has agreed to support our club as the naming rights partner for the building which will now be known as Aegis Park.”

Critical to the partnership is the shared objective of North Melbourne and Aegis to engage further with the community and reach out to the unemployed and multicultural communities.

“I can proudly say that North Melbourne has yet again, set a benchmark for community engagement which has been widely recognised.

“This will result in our innovative classroom The Huddle being used by schools during the day and community members by night with the support of Aegis.”

Aegis has been delivering training programs to unemployed Australians for several years and has built a solid reputation for effectiveness in assisting the jobless get ‘job ready’.

“Our unique training programs have seen hundreds of people further develop their skills, leading them onto ‘aspiring’ careers in their chosen industries,” Aegis Services Australia CEO Denice Pitt said.

“Our partnership with North Melbourne will seek to support the already ground breaking work within its classroom The Huddle”.
