NORTH Melbourne's Arden Street headquarters will now be known as Aegis Park.

In announcing the three-year naming rights deal on Tuesday, Kangaroos chairman James Brayshaw said the sponsorship marks the completion of the brand new $15 million training and community facility.

"This was a project undertaken by the current board and administration and we have delivered this club a world-class training base," Brayshaw said."The facility is widely acknowledged as cutting edge, not only in terms of the football club’s needs, but also the needs of the local community."

The deal - which Brayshaw said has been more than 12 months in the making - comes as a major positive for the club in a week in which boardroom battles have dominated the headlines.

The club's AGM is on Wednesday night, with Brayshaw, his brother Mark and former Foster's boss Trevor O'Hoy facing a challenge from Peter de Rauch and David Wheaton.

The Roos have posted three consecutive operating profits, but remain around $5 million in debt.

Brayshaw said the partnership with Aegis - which delivers training programs for the unemployed - would further establish North Melbourne as a leader in the community.

"I can proudly say that North Melbourne has set, yet again, a benchmark for community engagement which has been widely recognised," he said.

"This will result in our innovative classroom The Huddle being used by schools during the day and community members by night with the support of Aegis Aspire."
