Adelaide 2009 club champion Bernie Vince has been cleared of any hamstring strain but Brad Symes is to have another arthroscopy on his left knee later this week.

And Brad Moran, who like Symes has been dogged by knee soreness during the pre-season after previous surgery, is to consult a Melbourne specialist to consider his options.

Vince pulled out of Friday night’s game in Alice Springs because of hamstring tightness but tests have cleared him of any damage. However, Vince and Ivan Maric (sore glute) are unlikely to be pushed back into full training as yet.

The other good news is that Patrick Dangerfield is set to return for Saturday’s clash with Melbourne at Elizabeth Oval.

Adelaide had one casualty from Friday night’s game in Alice Springs. As reported on the weekend, James Sellar broke a bone in his right hand and will be out for four to six weeks.

Nathan van Berlo, who had a minor procedure to ease the pain in his back last Thursday, joined the group for Monday’s light skills session and it is expected that he will be able to continue to increase his training load this week.
