The Western Bulldogs have more free-to-air TV games in 2009...
The Western Bulldogs is delighted with the Club’s 2009 fixture.
Western Bulldogs Chief Executive Campbell Rose said this was a good fixture for our football department, good for our members and good for our corporate partners.
“Five blockbuster Friday night games against Collingwood, Essendon, Richmond, and Geelong twice is great for Bulldogs members and supporters,” he said.
“Our Free-to-Air TV exposure Australia-wide has strengthened substantially for 2009 which has been something our members have been asking for.”
“13 games (8 home) at Telstra Dome is an excellent result for everyone, including 8 games of the last 9 at Telstra Dome – providing a great run-up to the 2009 Final Series.”
“As a Club we have been striving to create an innovative and unforgettable game day experience for our members at our home ground Telstra Dome. We believe this fixture will provide us with more opportunities to deliver further benefits to our loyal membership base and junior K9 Club members.”
The Club has been given one less interstate match and retained its two ‘home’ games in Darwin and Canberra while also being given an Easter Monday game at Telstra Dome.
“There is always a number of games that are not ideal, but the 2009 Home & Away fixture provides our team, our members and our partners a great opportunity to build on our success in 2008”.
